The Image Processing/Analysis Research Group of NTUA performs research
and development in the areas of signal and image rnodeiling and efficient
processing, image analysis and recognition. Topics of research in this area
include modelling and estimation of two-dimensional images, coding,
transmission and storage of medical images and image analysis, inctuding
aspects such as segmentation, enhancement, classification analysis are
specific areas of the work in the field. A large activity of the Group is in the
field of artificial neural networks, including aspects such as learning
algorithms and use of neural networks for image analysis and recognition.
