ACM  The world's oldest and largest educational and scientific computing society. Since 1947 ACM has provided a vital forum for the exchange of information, ideas, and discoveries. Today, ACM serves a membership of more than 80,000 computing professionals in more than 100 countries in all areas of industry, academia, and government." http://www.acm.org/

ATM Forum   The ATM Forum is an international non-profit organization formed with the objective of accelerating the use of ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) products and services through a rapid convergence of interoperability specifications. AWC  The Association for Women in Computing (AWC) is a not-for-profit, professional organization for individuals with an interest in information technology. AWC is dedicated to the advancement of women in the computing fields, in business, industry, science, education, government, and the military. http://www.awc-hq.org/)

IEEE  The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is the world's largest technical professional society. Founded in 1884 by a handful of practitioners of the new electrical engineering discipline, today's Institute is comprised of more than 320,000 members who conduct and participate in its activities in approximately 150 countries. http://www.ieee.org/

SAGE  The System Administrators' Guild is a Special Technical Group (STG) of the USENIX Association. It is organized to advance the status of computer system administration as a profession, establish standards of professional excellence and recognize those who attain them, develop guidelines for improving the technical and managerial capabilities of members of the profession, and promote activities that advance the state of the art or the community.

SAGE-AU  was formed to advance the profession of System Administration by raising awareness of the need for System Administrators, and educating System Administrators in technical as well as professional issues. We aim to promote interaction between professional System Administrators within Australia as well as internationally, and regularly give recognition to high achievers amongst our members. http://www.sage-au.org.au/

SIGGRAPH  is the ACM Special Interest Group on Computer Graphics. Our scope is to promote among our members the acquisition and exchange of information and opinion on the theory, design, implementation, and application of computer-generated graphics and interactive techniques to facilitate communication and understanding. http://www.siggraph.org/

UniForum  Since its inception in 1981, UniForum has served as a professional association for end users, developers, and vendors to promote and exchange information about the practices and benefits of open technologies and related hardware, software, applications and standards. http://www.uniforum.org/

USENIX  USENIX is the Advanced Computing Systems Association. Since 1975 the USENIX Association has brought together the community of engineers, system administrators, scientists, and technicians working on the cutting edge of the computing world. http://usenix.org/

X Consortium   Dedicated to the advancement of multi-vendor information systems, The Open Group is an international consortium of systems and software vendors and customers from the industry, government and academia. The Open Group and its members work together to strengthen and streamline the development process and availability of open systems. http://www.x.org/
