7.13 ASCII Table in UNIX
7.13.1 Description
The ASCII table is little used, but when you need to find the
table, it is among the hardest things to locate. You now never have to look
any further. It actually exists in the man pages of your system.
Flavors: AT&T, some BSD.

Reason
I have always felt that the table should be available. It is one
of those things that you might need only once a year, but when the time comes,
you frantically search the Web or all through your programming books and can
never find it. The last time I ever saw the table in print form was in a Pascal
book I had back in the '80s from college. It is nice to pull an old book
off the shelves from time to time if you can remember where you put it.
Real World Experiences
You will most likely need to reference the table for mapping a
key to be used in a program. There will be times when a co-worker comes to you
because, in many cases, you are the guru and if you don't know what the
hex equivalent for a linefeed is off the top of your head, you should be able
to reference it in a hurry.
