Research activities in this area include:
(a) Text to phoneme and phoneme to
text transcription in Modern Greek
(b) Constrained syntactic analysis for
error correction
(c) Stenotyping tools and algorithms
(d)Morphological
analysis of Modern Greek
(e) Design of Special Software Tools for
intelligent text processing and lexicography.
The main application in this
area aims to accomplish the design of a special platform helping children to
learn Modern Greek using synthetic speech. Linguistic Research and
Engineering Applications are designed in collaboration with ILSP and the
Linguistic Division of the University of Athens.
